對騎士林書豪在第一節最後兩分鐘上場，但爾文跟莫斯葛夫連續四波擋拆，運球晃人跳投連續吃了林書豪四次。第二節爾文退場，但林書豪傳球給尼克楊肉包子打狗有去無回，還是沒有機會主導進攻。
 
下半場湖人的先發球員從落後26分追到16分差距，總教練史考特並沒有按慣例讓林書豪在第三節最後三分鐘上場，到了第四節林書豪又碰上爾文，短短三分半鐘內被爾文連拿九分外帶兩次高吊球給湯普森空中轟炸籃框。
 
林書豪第一節最後在五秒半內運球過全場連閃三位騎士球員上籃得分，第四節勝負已定後又在兩分半鐘內連進四球，最後交出11分3助攻3失誤進攻尚可，但防守端完全守不住爾文。一方面爾文的運球技巧過人，但另一方面湖人隊友缺乏補防觀念也讓林書豪孤立無援。
 
外傳林書豪曾經是騎士補強控球的人選之一，但按照他今年合約，買走林書豪的球隊剩下三十場還得付他六百萬美元，以林書豪帳面每場十分五次助攻左右的成績，大概只有同樣想丟掉肥約的球隊肯跟湖人做交易。
